  The  Land is for sale where the famous local restaurant Shirley's Tippy Canoe is for sale. The restaurant burned down in 2020 under suspicious circumstances according to this news article: "Suspicious Fire" burns down Shirley's Tippy Canoe . Anyhow the location is just amazing and in a very beautiful spot on the Sandy River in an Emerald Green Forest with small waterfalls spilling down into the river, along the old historic Columbia River Highway. I use to eat at Shirley's Tippy Canoe every week practically on the weekend for breakfast. The blueberry pancakes were the best I've had anywhere and Shirley always gave this same pitch to every customer with "We take 16 eggs and beat the hell out of them for our homemade pancake batter and that is why they are so light and fluffy". Shirley was the owner, who originally was from Michigan. She named the restaurant after herself of course and took part of the political slogan of the Whig Party "Tippy
