The Old Mill Restaurant has been out of business for several years and now it is for sale The Old Mill for sale  I find the building itself very interesting because of its style and history. It was built originally as a Mill in the Chinatown district of Evanston. Evanston is only a town of around 1200 people  back in the 1800's with a Chinese population of 100. This article is very interesting I found on the web.  History of THE OLD MILL RESTAURANT . In 1946 an Evanston Businessman named Joe Wheeler renovated the mill and turned it into a supper club called THE JOLLY ROGER which had a pirate theme to it which I find hysterical since Evanston is nowhere near the ocean. It stayed open though for 40 years and then was renovated as the Old Mill Restaurant. The restaurant went way down in quality apparently.
